Buffalo’s youngest entrepreneurs: Age is no obstacle for these five startups

Every year, the Buffalo SBDC runs a KidBiz program for children in third through sixth grades. Three times each summer, kids set up stands at the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market to sell anything from popsicles to painted rocks. Associate Director, Andrea Lizak, guides participants: “It’s amazing how much they grow, even in one year. We’ve had kids who have gotten their DBAs and appropriate licensing to go to craft shows and they take those ideas and concepts and move it into actual businesses.”
